During the first couple of days back we were told that we would need to deliver a 2 min "elevator" pitch about our ideas for both studio and contextual studies projects. Yes, 2 mins to explain an entire years worth of scheduled work... Needless to say I ran over by a bit. Below are my presentations for the projects:
Studio Project:
Contextual Studies Project:
Overall my feedback (at the time) didn't seem to be so great. I guess I took it to heart a bit more than I should of, but after some discussions with my tutors about the scale of the project, I realised that I had not explained my exact intentions. From what I presented, they were under the impression I was proposing to design and model an entire environment. When what I was actually proposing was to design and model a portion of it with the intent to add more work if I feel I am ahead of schedule.
Similarly to my Studio Project presentation, I was told that my CS project was far too broad. Again, after some talks, I explained that I kept my CS subject fairly open, so that I could be given advice as to which narrowed subject I should focus on.
